sandman: When it comes to TV shows, the Black audience is very large. Advertisers cannot afford to offend them. Blacks have not migrated away from TV to the extent that other racial groups have. It's a simple matter of demographics. Had Rosanne's show not been on a mainstream broadcast channel, then her statements would have matter much less and might not have even drawn any attention at all.

This is worth listening to. Two black guys went out of the way to get themselves arrested. They had multiple opportunities to not get arrested. They refused and ultimately they got what they wanted. The bizarre thing is that the whole thing is being interpreted as if the black guys were victims of racism.

This was uploaded back in 2010, but it works for the Starbucks situation perfectly...

Women Claim They Were Racially Profiled at Florida Walgreens
The manager who called the cops on these BLACK women was BLACK! Apparently BLACK people don't trust BLACK people. And that's supposed to be an example of racism? Seriously?

Another Day, Another False Narrative
Kid involved in drive-by shooting shot by police
The action taken by police in this situation was reasonable. Two guns were found in the car and the kid who was shot had an ammo clip in his pocket. On top of that the car was pulled over because it matched the description of a car that was involved in a drive-by shooting. The officer had every reason to expect that the kid was armed and dangerous and that allowing him to escape would result in a hostage situation. To make matters worse, protestors rioted for at least two nights straight and blocked traffic on a freeway. IMHO intentionally obstructing traffic on a freeway should be a felony offense. All involved should be arrested and locked up for at least 3-10 years. Not only does obstructing freeway traffic disrupt the lives of responsible citizens, but it could also keep emergency vehicles from saving innocent lives.
Today’s riot will come to you courtesy of Antwon Rose II, who was shot by police after fleeing from a car that was pulled over after participating in a drive-by shooting. However, the media as usual presents that backward in order to promote its message of Christ-like innocent minorities terrorized by white strength and power.

Antwon Rose Shown On Video Firing Weapon In Drive-By Shooting Minutes Before Being Killed By East Pittsburgh Officer
Looks like the officer got the right guy after all.
Police are currently reviewing video which reportedly shows Antwon Rose firing a gun during a drive-by shooting just minutes before he was shot and killed by police officer Michael Rosfeld.

This Antwon Rose situation looks like the typical scenario that we've seen played out several times in recent years. A young criminal gets shot. Local low IQ types insist that he's an innocent victim of racially motivated police brutality. Protests ensue and the media encourages them. Gradually the facts come out. It turns out the kid was involved in a crime minutes before being shot. More info comes out and it becomes obvious that the cops were just doing their job. However, the protestors never admit their mistake and the media downplays the significance of the new info. Over and over we see this scenario play out and unsurprisingly the low IQ types never catch on. They never figure out that THEY are THE PROBLEM!

dzrtdwg: Reacting before all the information has become available is stupid. Stupid people do stupid things. Blocking freeway traffic in reaction to the shooting of a thug trying to evade arrest for involvement in a drive-by shooting is something that stupid people would do. As more info comes out reasonable people will conclude that the cop reacted in a reasonable manner. Blame should be placed on the young thug trying to evade arrest for shooting someone, not on the cop just trying to do his duty and stay alive. It may be that the young thug was unarmed, but hindsight is 20-20. How was the cop supposed to know if a hand raised towards him was a rude gesture or a gun? I give the cop the benefit of the doubt in this situation since all factors point towards the likelihood that the young thug was armed and dangerous. Also I don't think cops shoot unless they truly believe that lives are in danger. Only 25% of suspects shot by cops turn out to be unarmed and of those almost all of them did something that appears threatening which triggers the cop to react in self-defense.

Antwon Rose, tragic but....
Over on Reddit I found this checklist of justifications for the use of deadly force by law enforcement. In other words if all factors apply, deadly force is warranted.
(1) the person to be arrested has committed a forcible felony
(2) he’s attempting to escape and possesses a deadly weapon
(3) he will endanger others if not arrested right away.

Here's a well-reasoned analysis of the situation.
In these situations police have to deal with uncertainties. The car matches the description of a vehicle involved in a shooting, it has bullet holes in its rear window. The suspects flee and the officer has no idea whether they are armed or not, but he has very good reason to believe they are (ie. the shot up car). No certainty but objectively speaking a high probability. He has to decide is it better to let this guy escape on foot and potentially take a hostage, kill someone who gets in his way or shoot at another cop trying to detain him. Remember he doesn't KNOW this guy is unarmed, he only knows that there's a good chance he is. In retrospect you can say hey he was fleeing and unarmed, but given the circumstances in the moment the cop is very justified in believing him to be armed and dangerous to the public. If anyone is ever in that situation it would be a huge mistake to run.
