Elon Musk is worried about his satellites. He has supplied internet access to Ukrainians and now Russia is probably going to take out his satellites. There are two options: 1) shoot the satellites out of the sky, or 2) hack the satellites so they no longer work. Either option is on the table and Musk is out of a few satellites either way. He's lost a lot of satellites in the last couple months. Big set back for StarLink.
pdm: I can't say as I feel sorry for poor little Elon. In some ways it was noble of him to make his satellites available to the Ukrainians and in some ways it wasn't such a good idea. I hear other satellite companies did the same thing and they have similar fears. I suppose it's good PR to do this sort of thing, but the situation is complicated and the morality of the situation is not a simple matter.
National security officials warn of Russian cyberattacks The way we depend on computer networks any kind of cyberattack could be disruptive and costly.
camel: Whether it's the Russians, the Chinese, the Indians from India, the Brazilians, or any other country for that matter, there's always hackers hard at work trying to hack something. As you know, it's what they do.
Media elites to keep Trump-Russia Pulitzer prizes despite disinformation It was all a bunch of bullshit and so obviously it was a journalistic fail. Why did they get a Pulitzer in the first place? It was nothing more than a propaganda campaign. There was no journalism involved at all!
BREAKING: FBI Paid For Russian Disinformation To Frame Trump, Says GOP Lawmaker The president can declassify documents anytime he wants without anyone's permission! The FBI has been weaponized to be used against Trump. This is completely corrupt and unacceptable.
Glenn Greenwald asks if Russia would sabotage its own pipeline Only a complete moron would believe that Russia blew up its own pipeline! Then again there are lots of idiots in the world who believed all the stories about Russian hackers and collusion over the last several years. There is no way to deny that either the USA blew up the pipelines or that the USA authorized the action. Either way the sabotage is an act of terrorism and should be openly condemned as such.
Putin's historic speech finalizes referenda, infuriates Collective West The world does not condemn Russia. In fact, MOST of the world supports Russia and it's only the USA, Europe, and a few scattered nations which condemn Russia. As for media lies about what's going on, here's the truth: 1) The Russian economy is booming while the economies in Europe and the USA are tanking. 2) Putin has a huge amount of support in Russia. 3) The number of reservists leaving Russia to avoid reactivation is minimal. (There are more draft dodgers in Ukraine than in Russia.) 4) Ukraine is losing soldiers at an unsustainable rate. Meanwhile, Russian casualties are an order of magnitude lower than those of Ukraine. 5) The USA is responsible for sabotaging the Nordstream Pipeline and this is an act of terrorism. 6) Putin never threatened to use nukes. Zelensky is the one who encouraged the west to use nukes and Putin merely said that the west needs to keep in mind that Russia has the means to retaliate in kind.
MI5 Website Hacked Reportedly the British security service known as the MI5 had their website hacked over the weekend. It was a Denial Of Service attack and it was probably done by an independent group of hackers, possibly trying to get info about the Nordstream sabotage. The hack attack is not likely to have been perpetrated by any entity associated with any government. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MI5
