The Russians got blamed again for another hacking incident. This time it was the Colonial pipeline incident which resulted in a massive gas shortage in the southeastern states. The question on my mind is Why is it that they are so quick to attribute blame? If they can figure out who did it so quickly, then why can't they figure out how to prevent these incidents? That's why I don't believe they have any idea who actually did it. It's way too convenient to just blame the Russians for everything that goes wrong with networked systems in the USA. It was probably just an internal error caused by incompetence of employees or failure of the company to invest in up-to-date equipment or software.
