Motorcyclists rescued by helicopter after driving on closed road in Death Valley National Park
Typical stupidity of off-road motorcycle types. They decide the law doesn't apply to them and then make up a stupid excuse.
According to park officials, the men said they were following a map app that showed the road as open, so they bypassed the closure signs.

They'll probably get off with a fine of $10K each, but they should do prison time IMHO.
