ergot: Great post. I recognize a few of the people in that video. Also I recall much history connected to the images. The soundtrack works for me.

I saw more videos by the mural painting guy and he's painted a bunch of murals on houses in the Pioneer Point area. One of horses and donkeys looked really good.

Gilmanators in the desert Looks like Homewood Canyon and the Trona Pinnacles were their two favorite sites.

cactuspete: They barely even included anything from Trona. It's surprising that they didn't make two separate videos and do a little research. They could have told a little about both the Pinnacles and the Ruth Mine and probably gotten higher quality videos that way.

Trona and Argus do look pretty bad as you drive through the streets, but Pioneer Point doesn't look too bad for the most part. With a little tidying up, Pioneer Point could pass as a nice neighborhood most anywhere. Trona has most of the interesting historical stuff though and Pioneer Point is basically just a bedroom community and the houses there were built more recently although there aren't any actually new houses except for one or two which were rebuilt after fires.

The 10 WORST CITIES in CALIFORNIA Talk about kicking someone while they're down! What kind of scumbag trashes a town a few days following a natural disaster?!
