cactuspete: Couldn't agree more. It will take a miracle to save this year's wildflower season and the snow accumulation in the Sierras ain't looking so great either. Another year of drought is the last thing we need now!

Too little too late? It's hard to tell if we're getting caught up with the rainfall total or not, but we've at least made a little progress lately. There might be a few flowers to look forward to in the next month or two. Also higher elevations might have a good year possibly with a little luck.

sierra_jim: That's an interesting hike and that guy knows a thing or two about local plants. Gotta give guys like that a lot of credit for getting out and doing things that very few people would have the gumption to do!
