Cactus

Which plants can store water in the desert :sun:
I should have started a thread about cactus a long time ago. As for this first post to this new thread all I can say is that it's kind of cute, but the British accents are a bit annoying.

Type this web address in to see some of the local cactus:

I like the dvplants.com website. There's a lot of useful information there. Especially if you're a plant enthusiast.

deathvalleyjake: Thanks for that link. I really enjoyed that page. It's nice to know which types of cactus are native and which ones come from somewhere else. BTW, there's a native plants garden named after Mary DeDecker up in Independence. It's at the museum there.

Dang dawg! Anyone who would munch down a cactus like that has more than enough stupid to last the universe an eternity. The amazing thing is that he's definitely and without a doubt not the stupidest person on this planet by a long shot! Although I've come across some pretty smart people in my time, the sad truth is that the stupid ones out-number the smart ones by about one hundred to one.

Most Americans don't have a family tree, but they do have a CACTUS TREE as the result of their families being full of pricks!

Q: What did the porcupine say to the cactus?
A: Is that you mommy?
