twister: Great info! Now all you have to do is hunt down some seeds! Then again it's one thing to get them to sprout another to keep them alive long enough to grow into established plants.

Las Vegas Buckwheat at the Springs Preserve Gardens
This would be a great one to include in yards around Ridgecrest and Trona. Very colorful and well-adapted to the local climate.
