L.A. gas prices increase above $4 mark :bubble:
During the pandemic demand was low and so prices went down. Now people feel safe and they want to make up for lost time and so they're driving like crazy and that's driving demand up which in turn drives the prices up.

'I'm going to try and not go anywhere': California's gas tax increases again on July 1
You can blame Biden and our dear governor for increased gas prices. The democrats always drive inflation and then a few years later the republicans come in and fix things.

Gas prices could hit record highs in 2022: GasBuddy analyst
High gas prices have a ripple-effect and we're seeing a high rate of inflation at grocery stores.

Thanks to Biden we have a war in Ukraine. None of this would have happened if Trump were president. You can't antagonize a bear and not expect him to strike back. Any idiot realizes that much, but thanks to Biden we're going to see gas prices go over $6 per gallon here in California unless our idiot governor decides to do something right for a change a suspend gas taxes.

mrfish: Here's my prognostication:
Chances that gas goes over $6/gallon: HIGH
Chances that the governor gives us a break: LOW

Americans feel economic impact of crisis in Ukraine
We have idiots in charge at both the state level and the national level. So, none of this is very surprising!

Biden is cutting off oil from Russia and that'll increase the price of gas for consumers. We're already seeing record high prices across the country and the price of gas is likely to go much higher. That's bad enough, but when you figure the price of transporting products will also go up, that means that the cost of pretty much everything else will also go up. There's talk of getting gas from Venezuela, but the irony there is that Venezuela owes Russia a ton of money and so we'll still be indirectly sending money to Russia.

Gas prices are expected to drop by about thirty cents per gallon over the next few weeks. This is at least in part due to Biden authorizing the use of strategic oil reserves. I'll believe it when I see it.
