Screaming match erupts over vote to remove mural
Apparently a mural depicting historic reality is traumatic to ignorant idiots.

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama (1974)
It looks like a Confederate Flag in the background to me!

Confederate. An uncomfortable question.
Interesting angle taken in this video. Not quite what you would expect from an actor famous for playing a character in the Dukes Of Hazard TV show. I fully expected him to break down and apologize for being white....

I have subscribed to The Tombstone Epitaph for maybe 30 years I am guessing. There have been changes over the years on the content simply because they need to make money to keep the doors open. When I first started my subscription, they used to reprint articles of a time word for word. I think the PC culture has caused the paper to be careful what they print in later years. The articles and editorials of the Civil War era mentioned slavery as an issue usually by religious zealots but by far the most written about issue was States Rights. The message I took away from some of those period time pictures in history States rights was what the War was about not freeing the slaves. Freeing the slaves was a sidebar issue. That was not the way I learned Civil Wall History in the mid 60’s. I was taught the War was about slavery. Not a big difference like maybe the way history has changed in the classroom in Red China but it was enough for me to understand the feelings of some today. The paper is not what it once was, but I do recommend it for enjoyment and interesting articles. It is much more than just Tombstone. I start reading it the day I receive it each month.

South Dakota governor vows to protect Mount Rushmore
I never thought I'd see the day where it would make perfect sense to discuss Mount Rushmore in a thread about the Confederate flag, but the crazy, loony left has created such a situation. The ultimate irony:
"So ironic that a highly, highly flawed man, George Floyd, was the catalyst to "cancel" anyone with flaws."

Why is the most discredited idea since slavery coming back?
Erasing history is a big part of the strategy being used by those trying to introduce the "new socialism." Whether you call it cultural Marxism, communism, or progressive socialism, it's all about destroying the USA and our history. The Confederate flag is a part of our history and it should be remembered within that framework. Those who feel a desire to honor the Confederate flag should be able to do so without fear of retribution.

UNMASKING THE DEMOCRATS: Why does the Left hate Abraham Lincoln?
This Dinesh D'Souza guy is pretty smart. He sets up a zinger at the end with a really good history lesson. Before the Civil War the democrat party supported slavery and now they continue to support slavery of a different kind. Most telling of all is that they topple a statue of Lincoln (a republican) while protecting a statue of Stephen Douglas (a democrat who ran against Lincoln and supported slavery). People who understand history want to preserve it. Ignorant idiots want to tear things down and destroy.

Socastee church members learn about the Confederate flag's history from African American Activist
If the Confederate flag is racist, then so is Black History Month.
