New Laws for New Year

Postby MojaveMike » Mon Dec 31, 2012 11:47 am

California to get 800+ new laws in 2013
My guess is that probably only forty of these laws are necessary and the others are just a bunch of BS enabling more governmental intrusion into our personal business!!!

New rules: retirement benefits, foreclosures, sexual abuse reports
More laws when we ought to be throwing out old ones instead!
:smack:
After the Mono Lake Tufa State Reserve was nearly closed last year along with some 70 other state parks, a new law requires the State Parks Department to find new ways to raise money.

They got this one right!

Public employees hired in the new year have to wait up to the age of 67 for their maximum retirement benefits. This move is expected to save the state retirement system $78 billion over 30 years.

Easy YouTube Video Downloader
It's a FireFox extension. It allows you download in a bunch of audio or video formats including MP3.

I've used that before but I don't recall it allowing you to convert youtubes to mp3s. Will have to check it out again. For some reason I never put it on my new computer.

New Year's 2013 Brings New Laws: New Leglislation Goes Into Effect Across U.S.
Some pretty bizarre laws, but that's the USA for ya! We might not be the land of the free, but we are in love with laws!
