The Dangers of Highway 395 :smack:
San Bernardino should have upgraded this highway decades ago. Two lanes in each direction the whole way. Obvious solution. No brainer!

California's 395 is the most dangerous highway
Double lanes the whole way would solve the problem. BTW, the guy who made this video must have been driving pretty slow considering the number of people who pass him. He was basically causing a traffic hazard just so he could make a YouTube video. Not sure if he realizes what an a-hole he is!

Whether this problem should be blamed on San Bernardino County or the state of California is hard to say, but clearly the stretch of 395 traveling through San Bernardino County is the worst. The idiots in charge failed to properly plan and as has already been said, two lanes in each direction should have been built decades ago. Why has Inyo County been able to provide two lanes in each direction almost all the way through their county? Why are the people running things in San Bernardino County so incredibly STUPID?

Way back in the 1980s it was apparent to anyone with a brain that there was a need for two lanes in each direction. It was so obvious, that only a moron could fail to figure it out. In the meantime hundreds of people have died thanks to the negligence of the morons running things at the state and county levels.

Highway 395 south of Ridgecrest is best avoided. Going north is not really an issue since that section is in Kern County until Pearsonville and then Inyo County after that. The clowns in charge of the part of the highway in San Bernardino County should be held responsible for all the deaths on the portion of 395 in their jurisdiction. Such pathetically irresponsible leadership should result in a serious penalty. I'd recommend the firing squad, but we don't do that kind of thing here, although we should bring it back for the idiots running things in San Bernardino County!

Highway 395 has long been regarded as a death trap. Spefically that's the part of 395 south of Randsburg and down to the big truck stop place where 395 hits Insterstate 15. Basically that's the part that goes through San Bernardino County and that says a lot about the dysfunctional nature of San Bernardino County!

deathvalleyjake: Negligence. It's amazing that 395 hasn't been widened to two lanes each way by now. It should have happened long ago!

Seems like traffic on 395 has been a lot lighter during the last month or so. That probably makes it a lot safer.
