The rumor is that Trona is talking about re-opening the school soon.
What kind of stunningly stupid idiot would be even considering such an action at a time like this?

As you may or may not know the local school district has a new superintendent. As you may recall, the previous one was asked to resign due to general incompetence. Although the new guy has been here only a few months people are realizing that this new guy is even worse than the previous guy. People have even said that they wish the previous superintendent were still here since although he might have been not all that great, at least he wasn't a complete idiot and moron!

tronagirl: Most of the posts on Fakebook express basically the same sentiment, but some say that it's too early to tell. The guy has only been here a few months and it hasn't been the easiest of times. Maybe he is an idiot and a moron, but then again maybe he's not so bad. Trona has had a bunch of bad superintendents over the years. It's not like the best and the brightest are willing to work in a small town in the middle of the desert. We've had some outstanding teachers over the years, but the administrators have mostly been total losers. Mr. Haughton was one of the best teachers I ever had and there were a few others too, but he really knew his stuff.

The term "diversity hire" has been thrown around by more than a few. My understanding is that he seems more bewildered than in charge and it has been said that he does not have the experience or leadership skills to serve as the leader of a tiny school district in the middle of the desert.

What Do You Mean Guns are Dangerous? :smack:
The kid suggests that he should bring a gun to school so he can squeeze a few rounds off during recess. The dad doesn't think this is a great idea, but then some neighbors come over and they talk about the NRA. At the end there were all sorts of easy replies, but all the guy says is "That's a thinker."
