Apparently smart people often aren't all that smart. There are plenty of stupid PhDs floating around, particularly in certain fields and sub-fields. The lady in this video has a PhD in Cancer Biology and although there are lots of smart people with PhDs in biology, the problem with biology is that sometimes the focus is on memorizing all sorts of stuff instead of problem solving and pattern recognition. The same can be said of software development. Just because someone is a computer programmer doesn't mean they're smart. Some are and some aren't. Even medical doctors are like that. Some people have a talent for memorizing lots of stuff and so they appear smart. Some people are verbally proficient, but not conceptually intelligent. The thing about IQ is that it's the most reliable statistic known to psychology. The problem with EQ (emotional intelligence) is that it's just a propaganda tool developed to socially pressure people to conform to group norms. Not everyone knows that and there are lots of dumb people out there floating around who take EQ seriously. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb!
BTW, PewDiePie almost certainly has an IQ in the 120 to 140 range. He's very smart and talented. As for the lady whining about dyslexia: She almost sort of has a point, but not quite!

Let's be real, the only reason our PhD Biologist was admitted to a PhD program was that she is a woman and a minority. There's no way that a white male with a 112 IQ would make it into a PhD program. She was basically a minority hire. Something we are seeing more and more of and as a result we are seeing lower and lower quality people doing more and more important jobs. It's a recipe for disaster, but they're all convinced that they deserve the preferential treatment although they have done nothing to deserve it.

The Biggest Myth In Education
If the truth be told, there are many myths in education and this one probably isn't actually the biggest, but it is a big one just the same.

recluse: There are a lot of misconceptions when it comes to education and learning with all sorts of fake gurus claiming this and that. The biggest problem with education is that educators have left out the fourth R: RESPONSIBILITY. No one holds kids responsible for anything. Kids never are forced to learn from their own mistakes. They just keep getting more and more chances. It's beyond a second chance or third chance! We're talking an endless number of chances nowadays!

Why Finland's schools outperform most others across the developed world
Shorter school days and better results? Possibly it could be higher average IQ of students or possibly it could be something else.

wildrose: I'd be willing to bet that Finland had online learning and that the kids did just as well that way as they do in person. Unlike here in the USA the kids and the parents are responsible and able to deal with slight changes in routine without any loss in progress. It's amazing how people who are intelligent can deal with a little change in a routine like that. Here in the USA people shit their pants when they're asked to were a mask. It's like we're a nation of imbeciles.

California's Attempt to "Close the Gap" in Math Education
People who are part of the educational establishment tend to be rather dimwitted. It's not like the best and brightest take this career path. The result is obviously stupid ideas such as these ideas about math discussed by Shapiro and Rogan.
Tolerance will reach such a level that intelligent people will be banned from thinking so as not to offend the imbeciles.

Woke math movement looks to eliminate advanced classes
Implying that logic, reason, and the scientific method are things that blacks aren't good at is racist. Dumbing down standards to create the illusion that some people are smarter than is actually the case hurts everyone!

(FAKE) Racism Is Everywhere
BlackTurtleShow got everything right in this one. Math is racist. Vegetables. You name it. Mostly he just quoted from all sorts of news sources to put this song together. It's like a musical synopsis of the news and it doesn't go on forever and ever!

mrgreen: The video is highly accurate and like you say, it's mostly just a bunch of quotes from the people depicted in the video along with a few headlines. AOC really did say that cauliflower is a racist vegetable, libtards declared math racist months ago, and there's no doubt that the sun treats people differently depending on the color of their skin (think sunburns and skin cancer susceptibility).

California's Attempt to "Close the Gap" in Math Education
Pretending there is no problem doesn't solve the problem. Getting rid of tests is just an attempt to hide the real problem.
