Those with credentials mostly went through weak programs which accept basically even the dullest individuals and provide credentials as the result of the completion of substandard programs, providing that tuition is paid. There are individuals who had to retake basic competency tests five times before they finally passed the tests. The dumbest people on the staff are the most influential and what we have is the worst case of "It's not WHAT you know, but WHO you know" that I've ever heard of. Friends and family who are complete flunkies get hired and their boneheaded mistakes are overlooked, whereas those viewed as outsiders are berated over nothing. It's the most backward, dysfunctional situation anyone could imagine. Trona has become crazy town on steroids. It was always a little off-kilter, but it's gone down the tubes big time in the last few years!

Ain't that the truth! :smack:

The people who are the problem are trying to blame things on the people who are not the problem. When that happens things just get steadily worse as the healthy layers of the onion are peeled off and thrown away and the rotten core becomes more and more obvious. The idiots in charge are getting rid of good people and other good people are leaving in disgust. Sooner or later all there will be is idiots. Will the county finally come in and clean house at that point? What does it take? It can't get much more obvious that there's a huge problem in Trona!

Too many people in Trona want to get a teacher fired because their kid is a dumbass and flunked a test or got an F on his report card. And then there's the hack who wants to coach a high school sports team and so he gets a friend on the board to back him and it's business as usual with friends doing favors for friends. Qualifications don't matter. It's just a matter of taking care of friends and family without any concern for the quality of the school district and when things go south they just find someone who is not a friend or family member to scapegoat. It's stupid and dysfunctional and completely corrupt, but the county just keeps looking the other way and pretending that everything is honky dory.

A big part of the problem is that in a small town everything is too personal. Instead of making decisions based on logic and reason, those in power want to "feel good" about how the school is being run. So, they do favors for people who are unqualified, thus spending public money to enrich friends and family. It's obviously corrupt, but when emotion is allowed to guide decisions, a horrible mess is the result. Solid decisions are based on logic and reason, but leaders lacking intelligence operate based on emotions and emotions generally get people in trouble even if they make a person "feel good" in the moment.

Jill Biden’s Doctorate Is Garbage Because Her Dissertation Is Garbage
A doctorate in education is a joke and anyone with any intelligence realizes this. On top of that, doctorates in education are usually conferred upon people who would flunk out of any other legitimate university program. What's worse, doctorates in education are often awarded to people who belong to certain minority groups to bolster the number of doctorates going to non-whites and non-Asians in order to fulfill mandated quotas. In Jill Biden's case, she was married to a powerful politician and so she was awarded the bogus doctorate degree as a favor.
You can tell someone is smarting from an inferiority complex when he insists on being addressed as “Dr.” on the basis of holding an academic doctorate rather than being a physician. Ph.D. holders who have genuine accomplishments don’t make you call them “Doctor.”

That is certainly true, but it gets much, much worse:
Jill Biden’s dissertation is not an addition to the sum total of human knowledge. It is not a demonstration of expertise in its specific topic or its broad field. It is a gasping, wheezing, frail little Disney forest creature that begs you to notice the effort it makes to be the thing it is imitating while failing so pathetically that any witnesses to its ineptitude must feel compelled, out of manners alone, to drag it to the nearest podium and give it a participation trophy. Which is more or less what an Ed.D. is. It’s a degree that only deeply unimpressive people feel confers the honorific of “Doctor.” People who are actually smart understand that being in possession of a credential is no proof of intelligence.

Obviously all this can be said about the superintendent in Trona. If his doctorate is worth more than used toilet paper, let him publish his dissertation on the school webpage so all the world can inspect it and determine once and for all if he is the total and utter moron he appears to be or not!

There's a little gossip going around, but nothing all that interesting. What I heard is that there is a newly hired principal or assistant superintendent who is a crony of the superintendent. The thought is that being a weak leader, he needs someone to stand by his side and be a strong ally. Whether or not the new person will win the respect of the staff remains to be seen, but she should probably try to avoid doing too much damage control or else she'll become part of the damage is the way a friend put it.

Rogan SLAMS Opponents Of The Term 'Groomer'
I have it on good word that at least four teachers left the district (retired or took jobs elsewhere) because they were sick and tired of this bullshit going on at the school. The teacher who hugs too much (as she's called in threads on this message board) is said to be 100% groomer. She's sweet and artificial with parents and then when she gets their kids alone she grooms them into being woke in whatever way she can get them to lean. The superintendent approves of this behavior, which is why he made the least qualified and least respected person on the staff the K-12 coordinator. They say she's into social/emotional health which is just code for LGBTQ+ crap. Obviously many teachers are disgusted by what's going on, but most are too sheepish to speak out and many talk about abandoning the sinking ship known as TJUSD. I've also heard that two board members are total dykes and that one board member is into goats, but that might just be a joke. One way or the other, it's clear that the district is f***ed up and something needs to be done!

INEPTOCRACY - Someone used this term in another thread and it can be construed to mean the practice of promoting the least qualified and least intelligent into leadership positions. In other words, the most inept individuals in an organization are given the power to tell everyone else what to do. We see this sort of thing in action with the K-12 Coordinator position. She is obviously unintelligent and undeniably unqualified and yet she was placed into a leadership position. The superintendent himself is ridiculously incapable of doing even a poor job of running the district. We see several other examples of INEPTOCRACY throughout the TJUSD organization. Hopefully the new hire will break this pattern, but already people are worried that she'll just be more of the same garbage leadership running the school.

What I hear is that there are now more teachers without proper teaching credentials than teachers with proper credentials teaching at TJUSD. Does anyone have an actual count? Is it possible to list each teacher and find out what credential they actually have?

What Is 'Quiet Quitting'? Inside The Viral Trend Sparking Controversy
Unqualified and uninspiring leaders are a problem. Not treating teachers with the respect they deserve as professionals is another. Asking them to do mundane tasks which sabotage their ability to use time effectively is yet another. Everything I've heard about TJUSD is that the leaders have created an atmosphere where no one cares anymore. When you make the most unqualified and most disliked person on the staff the K-12 coordinator, you can't expect good results. It sends a message that hard work and intelligence do not matter to the organization. When board members do favors for friends and family time and time again, others feel like their efforts don't matter. When the superintendent can barely utter a coherent sentence and teachers joke about the presentation he made at the beginning of the school year, there's no doubt that there's a problem and the problem is not with the workers, but with the leaders of the organization. Teachers are by nature dedicated people, but when they are continuously faced with organizational dysfunctionality, the result is pretty predictable and that's why TJUSD is an educational disaster zone and it's also why so many highly qualified teachers left over the summer!

It is public information to look up teacher credentials. Type in “ctc teacher credential look up” and enter the name. It will show current and past credentials held. FYI- the school does NOT currently have a listing on edjoin looking for any qualified teachers either. They are only looking for more substitutes. Most of the subs only have 30-day sub credentials.
