Flowers that deer won't eat - Are they deer proof?
Lately a deer has been visiting my house up here in Kennedy Meadows. It has eaten several plants including California Poppy, Sweet Alyssum, and Penstemon. Yesterday I planted some Evening Primrose and Purple Coneflower, both of which are supposed to be deer resistant. In this video, this guy plants some Purple Coneflower. I planted mine from seed and so hopefully mine will turn into some nice healthy plants as shown in the video!

Fighting back with deer-resistant perennials
These seem like some good recommendations, but in the comments viewers said that deer will eat rhubarb and the flowers off of Shasta daisies. Sometimes it seems like you just can't win and as usual, most of the time what goes for deer also goes for rabbits, squirrels, etc.

Rabbits can be a big problem in Trona and in parts of Ridgecrest, but I haven't heard much about deer. Then again, donkeys might be an issue every once in a while!

You should add moles to your list of pests. Here's an interesting website:

List of Veggies Rabbits Won't Eat
Glad to see potatoes on the list. Other items include squash, rhubarb, tomatoes, corn, garlic, and onions. It looks like they eat pretty much everything else!
