Hoes Abound On World Naked Gardening Day May 2
Don't try this at home unless you have a six foot fence free of peepholes!
Gardening naked is not only a simple joy, it reminds us -- even if only for those few sunkissed minutes--that we can be honest with who we are as humans and as part of this planet.

Too much honesty can be a bad thing!

Celebrate the 10th Annual World Naked Gardening Day :sun:
This is from last year, but it's pretty funny! Naked Gardening Day is always the first Saturday in May. All you're supposed to wear is a smile! :king:

These gardeners seem a little kinky if you ask me! Not that I have anything against the kinkiness, but there are more enjoyable ways of channeling the need to express oneself and I should know for I am Carlos Danger!

Opcom's smart garden will help you earn your green thumb
This unit goes for $4000, but it would be neat to be able to grow veges indoors anytime of the year. It uses LED lights and so it might be not too expensive to run and if you have solar panels on your roof it might be almost free to run.

tronagirl: The cost of that so-called Smart Garden seems a little high, but it looks like it would be pretty productive. Not only are there three levels of growing space, but they can be cycled year around to provide plenty of fresh produce. I wonder how they do with strawberries. If the operating cost isn't too great, it might not be a bad way to go and there are bound to be competitors who will offer the same thing for about a third of the price if enough people start purchasing these units.

SMART GARDEN: If it produces sweet and full-tasting strawberries it might be worth the price. It's been a long time since I've been able to find strawberries that don't taste like wax. That goes for most fruits, but especially strawberries.
