Shade Structures

Build a Pergola in 15 minutes
A couple shade structures would increase the amount of area in my yard available for growing plants and so I'm thinking about adding a couple along the sides of my house. This one looks nice, but I'm not sure about doing a project like this! Also something a little more lightweight would be more than adequate as far as I'm concerned.

How to Build a Redwood Pergola
Step-by-step instructions on how to build this structure. It's simple, but it would be a pretty tough project for a non-carpenter to take on.

SolarMax Shade Structure
This one might be less expensive although it doesn't look as nice.

How to Put Up a Shade Sail
This looks like it would be even cheaper and it would be great to protect a little garden area from the sun.

Shade Cloth: 3 Reasons To Use Shade Cloth In Your Garden
I've seen people use this stuff with vegetable gardens. It's an inexpensive way to providing shade, but it's not all that attractive.

Ezy-Fix Clip System. Installing shade cloth the EZY way
This looks like an easy product to set up. The only question I'd have is how well does it stand up to extreme wind?

How to build a Simple Stand-alone Sun Shade - Shelter
There are lots of possible designs and the amount of money you put into one of these can vary greatly. This example looks nice, but probably didn't cost all that much and best of all it's not so complicated that a home owner couldn't do it herself!
