Politicians 'tweeting before they think' :mad2:
This seems to be another case of making a big deal out of nothing. Sure, I get that the historical reference could possibly offend someone who is looking for an excuse to be offended, but it's really not a big enough deal to even complain about. This is not a matter of insensitivity on the politician's part, it's a matter of over-sensitivity on the part of those who complained.

One blogger's brush with identity theft :roll2:
This isn't really a case of identity theft , but the guy conducting the interview tries to hype it for all it's worth! Posing as someone on a social network might be annoying, but it's not actually identity THEFT. Identity theft involves financial transactions which amount to something more than simply annoying.

Teens Post Alleged Rape of 12-Year Old on Facebook
This is more than just a blunder, but it's hard to understand why someone who committed a serious crime would actually post video of the crime. Of course, it's hard to imagine why someone would commit such a brutal crime in the first place, but most people would realize that sharing video of the crime would lead to their arrest and prosecution!

Skype pranksters dial up Zimmerman trial
I would say that interrupting something as solemn as a court proceeding is just plain wrong, but I'd be lying if I said that because this is just plain funny!

Husband defends posting wife's tantrum
Talk about a total meltdown! It's not surprising that this couple is getting a divorce. My guess is that this is about more than just THE LAKE!

'Dr. Phil' Under Fire for Sex Tweet Asking Followers About Sex With Drunk Women
This video is a little different from the one posted by ShadyLady, but the way it gets presented in this video makes it fit more under Social Media Blunders instead of Moral Panics. Still it's kind of weird how some people can misinterpret something and then "go off the deep end" as Shady says. People need to slow down and reconsider their knee jerk reactions sometimes. I'm no fan of Dr. Phil, but he did nothing wrong in this case. It's these harebrained idiots who misinterpreted the OBVIOUS intention behind the tweet that need to be slapped back into being sensible!!!
