Darknet - The internet underground | Shift
Sounds like a great way to beat censorship and limit the power of government, but my hunch is that its days are numbered.

Protect Your Communications With Encryption
It takes a little extra work to keep communications secure, but if everybody did it all the time, then it would be that much more difficult for the feds to spy on us!

Windows Watching? Germany fears OS provides NSA with remote access
If you feel the need for secure communications, don't trust Windows. I wouldn't put too much confidence into Macintosh either. Go with Linux if security is a priority for you. It's been known for quite some time that Windows has backdoors built into it which allow the government to snoop on your computer. It's probable that this is also true with Macintosh.

Code Cracking: NSA spent billions to foil safeguards of web privacy :curse:
European countries are getting sick and tired of the USA invading the privacy of their citizens. In particular, companies cooperating with the USA by handing over private data to the government of the USA will be penalized. Our government is corrupt and the rest of the world knows it. It's time to do something about it!

TOR is Safe No More! :smart:
This is not at all surprising. It's very difficult for large network to exist and not have various forms of infiltration and compromise occur. However, TOR does potentially obfuscate to some degree still, providing at least a hurdle or two over which those wishing to compromise your secure communications must get around. Of course, if more attention is paid to TOR traffic than to regular internet traffic and if adequate resources are put into analyzing that traffic, it might be safer not to use TOR.
