Porn Star Commits Suicide After Cyberbullying
Saying mean things and criticizing someone is not really cyberbullying and if it is, then cyberbullying is a total joke. It's cyberbullying when you cross the line and actually slander someone or spread false rumors or threaten someone. In this case people called her (the porn star) a slut, which is a mean word for a woman with loose morals. She starred in a porn film and that meets the normal definition of having loose morals. People who are prudes have the right to express themselves and they have every right to be direct and blunt about it even if it causes the object of their derision to feel stressed out. In response supporters of the young lady can be just as mean in expressing counter-opinions and that's all fine and fair. Now if someone spreads a rumor that she gave a donkey a blowjob (assuming that she did nothing of the kind), then that would be slander. If someone threatened to do her physical harm, that would also be illegal behavior. However, saying mean things and being critical are perfectly legitimate activities and should not be illegal in any way. It's called free speech and even if an unstable person commits suicide in response to such speech, there is no way that any kind of law should be made against such speech. Even if the object of derision is a minor, there is no reason not to be mean or bluntly critical from a legal point of view, nor should there be. Free speech is sacred and it's just too bad if some people can't deal with it.
