A (Very) Brief History of Life Extension | LifeXtenShow
This is a great overview of the field of life extension technology. SENS is discussed and also the "Hallmarks of Aging" (2013) gets a quick mention.

Interesting discussion. It sounds like anti-aging technology is on the cusp of some pretty serious breakthroughs!

MojaveMike: Possibly serious breakthroughs are imminent, but nothing solid yet that a person can actually do that will make much of a difference. There are all the common sense things like eat your veges and exercise, but nothing that qualifies as an actual breakthrough.

Warren Zevon - My Shits Fucked Up
From the album titled "Life'll Kill Ya." The album was released in the year 2000. Zevon died in 2003 of mesothelioma. The reality of death makes one question the concept of longevity escape velocity:

Warren Zevon - His Last David Letterman Show on October 30, 2002
I knew there was a singer named Warren Zevon and I recognize a couple of his songs, but I had no idea he was dead. As for the longevity escape velocity stuff, it's probably just science fiction, but as technology improves something like that becomes increasingly possible, but obviously lots of people are going to die before they can catch that wave.
