How to Avoid COVID-19
Most of this is pretty obvious, but many people seem to overlook the obvious.

Scientists warn of potential wave of COVID-linked brain damage
I'm convinced that a large percentage of the population is already brain damaged and the evidence for that is the cavalier manner in which people are responding to the advice to be careful about covid-19 and all the pointless protests we have seen recently, but be that as it may, this report is truly disturbing.
“Whether we will see an epidemic on a large scale of brain damage linked to the pandemic – perhaps similar to the encephalitis lethargica outbreak in the 1920s and 1930s after the 1918 influenza pandemic – remains to be seen,” said Michael Zandi, from UCL’s Institute of Neurology, who co-led the study. COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, is largely a respiratory illness that affects the lungs, but neuroscientists and specialist brain doctors say emerging evidence of its impact on the brain is concerning. There is a worry is that we have millions of people with COVID-19 now. And if in a year’s time we have 10 million recovered people, and those people have cognitive deficits ... then that’s going to affect their ability to work and their ability to go about activities of daily living....

U.S. students are at ‘higher risk’ from the coronavirus than kids in other countries
If brain damage can occur with or without other symptoms associated with the virus, then it seems like a bad idea to put children at risk. Given the availability of distance learning solutions, in-person learning seems like an unnecessary risk. A little learning at school could be wiped out by brain damage. Why take the risk?
Children in the U.S. are more likely than kids in other countries to have underlying conditions that place them at an increased risk of becoming severely sick with Covid-19, complicating the U.S. debate over how and whether to reopen schools this fall, former Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb said Monday. We have more co-morbid illness among young people in this country — more asthma, more obesity, more diabetes — so there is going to be higher risk with our school-age population.

Dr Mike Ryan on the role children play in COVID-19 transmission
Ask any teacher, schools are breeding grounds for germs. Teachers get sick more often than most adults because they're around children. Children spread germs. Closing schools slows the spread of germs more than is the case for any other social venue. If churches, bars, restaurants, and movie theaters are closed, then schools should be closed. Those other locations do not result in much transmission of germs compared to schools, not even close. The public outcry has to do with parents relying on schools for babysitting. It has very little to do with educational quality. It's all about free babysitting and the news media is going along with public sentiment in order to maintain viewership.

Bill Gates on US reopening: We didn't get away with it like we thought
Things are worse than expected. We figured that things would get better during the summer, but they didn't. Almost for sure things will get quite a bit worse during the fall. It would not be surprising if we reach 200K deaths due to covid before the end of the year. Working from home has worked well for Microsoft. Jobs that can be done from home, should be done from home for the duration of this pandemic.

Lots of potential side effects including extreme pain and the need for multiple injections. Sounds like fun and maybe a little risky. No thanks!
