The Future of Porn - Holograms and Motion Control?
People are too lazy to develop relationships with real people and so it's all going to be simulated? Well, I guess, actually it's already that way for a lot of people.

Another subversive promotion of porn and the breakdown of society brought to you by TYT.

Actually, my take on this discussion was that they were discussing the development of new forms of porn and the impact these new entertainment options might have on society. Although they had a sense of humor in the way they presented the information, I really don't think they were being subversive or promoting porn. Not that there is anything wrong with porn, but some critics do say that porn increases social isolation since individuals no longer feel the necessity to make social connections. Others say that porn helps to reduce anti-social behavior in a variety of ways. I'm not jumping to any conclusions other than to say that in a free society all forms of expression should be tolerated and in some cases possibly celebrated. To suggest that porn is subversive or contributes to the "breakdown of society" is kind of melodramatic and suggests that you subscribe to some form of religious orthodoxy.

Actually what I'm hoping for is the ability to manipulate the holographic image until the perfect female body is specified and then to be able to order a completely life-like robot that matches those specifications. Besides performing any kind of requested sex act, the fembots would also do housekeeping and cooking chores extraordinarily well and without any complaints!
:yup:
All the positives and none of the negatives!!! That's what I'm talking about!

It's not porn that is subversive it's the way TYT are presenting it. Watch the video again and you will see that they are promoting it all the while pretending to be neutral. “ideally we should go out and try to talk to human beings... but I understand it's hard...” Tokyo Rose couldn't have said it better!

Naw, Wildrose got it right for the most part. TYT realize that people in their audience will get a laugh out of the info they present and they just present in a way which shows that they agree that the idea of holographic porn is amusing. They aren't promoting it. Last time I checked porn kind of promotes itself...

My guess is that there will be fembot brothels or fembot rentals long before ordinary individuals will be able to afford to purchase their own. You seem to forget that male-bots are also a possibility and that some of us would like to enjoy "all the positives without any of the negatives" when it comes to the male species too!

Porn does not promote it's self. Most people tend to conceal porn rather than promote it. Just look at the sheer numbers of TYT videos. There is no doubt that they are promoting it. The only thing in question is. Are they doing it strictly for ratings or do they also have an ulterior motive?

Absolutely not! Porn does promote itself in that people are naturally interested in it. There is no need to promote it in the advertising sense because we humans are hardwired to find it interesting at some level. I find the suggestion that there is anything wrong with talking about porn extremely repugnant. Porn is a legitimate art form and the many different forms of porn are of sociological and psychological interest. Healthy, intellectually inquisitive people are naturally curious about the many forms of porn and that is how it should be. Sites like youporn and porntube which allow amateurs to post homemade porn are a new and interesting phenomenon and future possibilities such as holographic porn are fun to speculate about. Nothing wrong with any of that! User-generated content might not be as good as professionally produced stuff, but then again it might be. TYT does an excellent job of discussing porn in a neutral, judgement-free manner and with a sense of humor. Let's face it, most porn is more amusing than it is arousing!

Women Strike Back Against Revenge Porn
More porn on TYT!!! :talk:
But seriously... I don't think the naked photos are the big deal so much as the personal info that's put online.
