YouTube needs to own your phone
There's no doubt that mobile devices will continue to become more and more important, but I just don't see people sitting around their livingroom watching the small screen. In other words, desktop devices and other large screen devices will always play a more prominent role than this guy seems to think.

Facebook Won't Let You Post About This Competitor
Apparently tsu.co has Facebook worried. Will Facebook be going the way of MySpace?

Happy 10th birthday, Twitter! Will you make it to 20?
Could the Twitter "revolution" be turning into a meltdown?

WTF is THIS trending: Sometimes the W in WTF can stand for why, right? My theory is that a lot of what is supposedly trending is manipulated by large organizations either by getting their members to push a topic or through the use of bots or for those with inside access through direct manipulation of the numbers. Not that I'm a conspiracy theorist, but it's just too easy for people not to do. And the advantages gained are too great to pass up the opportunity.

The online services worth paying for
Almost all online entertainment options include some sort of social media aspect to their services. These are the most popular.

Timeline: The rise and fall of Yahoo
It was once worth over $100 billion, had a chance to sell off for $44 billion, and now finally sells off for only $4.8 billion. That's still a lot of money, but it takes a lot of bad decisions or really rotten luck to go from over $100 billion to less than $5 billion!

How To Find Out Which Political Label Facebook Has Given You
Corporations like to pigeonhole customers in an attempt to more effectively market goods and services. They try to get it right, but sometimes they paint with a brush too broad. And the bigger issue is that info is filtered according to the preferences they think you have.

Social media echo chambers trap Americans
A lot of this is true, but not absolutely true. The same ole crappy arguments get tuned out, but I think new ideas are always welcome.

Newgrounds - The Foundation of the Future of Animation
I was a big fan of this site back in the late 1990s and I still check it out from time to time. Lots of interesting stuff. Often a bit esoteric and sometimes a bit erotic, but very interesting, original, and creative stuff gets shared there!
