James Damore - And Yet It Moves
You can just imagine how the special snowflakes in the HR department (you know, the ones with the gender studies degrees) reacted when they read the memo!

Machines Know Better? Google under fire for search & YouTube video ‘censorship’
Nothing personal, but there do seem to be ideological biases in favor of non-threatening, ordinary, middle-of-the-road, trivial, advertiser-friendly, safe, mindless content.

Fired Google employee speaks out
It wasn't like this guy was trying to be offensive. He did research and explained himself in a well-reasoned manner. How do you justify firing someone for sharing a reasonable opinion? It takes a true ideological monster to fire someone for writing an intellectually honest essay!

Tech companies colluding with the Left in ideological war?
I don't buy the argument that saying mean things automatically results in evil deeds. I also don't like the guest who seems to think that crime can be predicted based on rhetoric. People can say and think all sorts of things, but there is only a weak degree of predictability between words and deeds. Free speech must be protected and no excuse to impinge upon free speech should be validated in any way.

Steven Pinker - What We Know About Gender Differences
Thorough discussion of gender differences as it might relate to the Google (James Damore) situation discussed in this thread.

wildrose: Excellent post! That guy is one of the best speakers I've ever heard. He was clear and quite engaging. It was a pleasure watching the video and above all it's important to stick with the truth over what one might prefer when it comes to analyzing complex social issues!

YouTube Censorhip Update
More info about the YouTube Censorship program. This is a very scary trend. Doesn't seem like the land of the free at all...
