Wagon Wheel - Short Overhang V3/4**
Wagon Wheel is slightly closer to Ridgecrest than Trona, but it's still in the general area.

Great Falls Basin Wilderness
I've seen climbers scaling the rocks around Great Falls Basin on a few occasions. Not exactly a hot spot for that kind of thing, but it is recognized as a good spot for that sort of thing.
There are 15 prominent rock climbing routes, 9 of which are in the falls area. For those who are interested in river-rock locations, the granite has been
carved away by years of hydro pressure leaving the rock arced and smooth for challenging and rewarding climbing. Contact BLM Ridgecrest for up to date conditions.

Great Falls , Trona CA Flash Flood
The times I've been to Great Falls it's been pretty dry. Barely even a puddle at the bottom or even up at one of above, but apparently things can get pretty wet and wild after a good rain shower.

I know there have been at least a couple rescues involving helicopters where people have had problems climbing around Great Falls Basin. The rocks there are definitely great challenges for rock climbers and it's fun for non-climbers to explore the area, but people often get themselves into jams regardless of their experience level and sometimes they get seriously injured or worse...

I've not been there while people were climbing, but I've heard that's something that people do from time to time. Most people do climb up to the lower falls and some people climb up into the basin above the falls. I haven't been up that way in many years, but I do recall some interesting boulders throughout that area and down on the other side by Indian Joe Canyon.

ONE MINUTE OF TRAINING
One finger pull ups? Maybe 0.0001% of the population can even come close!

twister: That's probably a pretty good estimate. I can guarantee that way more people can't even do a single regular pull up than can do a one finger pull up. I'm not judging anyone. I just tested myself and I did four and a half. I need to get into better shape!

dilbert: No kidding! I'm not even going to try to do any pull ups. There was a time, but I'm too old for that kind of thing anymore! Besides I might hurt myself just trying to do a pull up.
